4x4 only! Can we drive up in our standard cars?Due to the nature of our road currently, our scenic road up to the farm takes about 40 minutes at a very slow pace strictly with a 4x4 vehicle only. We are in the process of fixing our road but please make sure of our Landrover shuttle R500 per round trip holds 8 people plus luggage. We have a very safe parking area at the bottom of the mountain to leave your vehicles. R50 per car per weekend.

Motorbikes allowed?Tonglen would like to discourage visitors from riding their bikes up to the property unless they are highly experienced riders on off road vehicles. Please do not attempt to bring your road bike up the mountain, you will get stuck. We are not a destination for dirt bike trails or quad bikes weekend experiences. Tonglen is not a suitable farm for loud noises created by vehicles or bikes. We are more than happy to try and accommodate your extra's at the bottom of the mountain in our secure parking area, please contact us direct about options.
